Overview
UnMail helps users identify subscription emails, review senders, and access unsubscribe options faster. This Privacy Policy explains what information UnMail collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.
Data Protection
UnMail takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user data. Authentication is handled through Google's secure OAuth 2.0 authorization process. UnMail uses read-only Gmail access and does not request permission to send, modify,
or delete emails.
Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to Google user data is restricted solely to providing the functionality described within the application. UnMail does not sell user data, share user data with advertisers,
or use Google user data for purposes unrelated to the application's core functionality.
Information We Access
When you connect your Google account, UnMail may access limited Gmail information needed to provide the service, including sender names, subject lines, subscription metadata, and unsubscribe headers when available.
How We Use Information
We use Gmail information only to identify subscription senders, display them in the app, and help you access unsubscribe pages. UnMail does not sell your data.
Google User Data
UnMail’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data Storage
UnMail may store app preferences, cleanup history, handled senders, and Gmail connection status locally on your device. Authentication tokens are used only to maintain your connection and provide app functionality.
Data Sharing
UnMail does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes.
Data Retention and Deletion
UnMail minimizes the storage of Google user data. Gmail data is accessed only for the purpose of identifying subscription and promotional emails and displaying relevant information to the user.
Users may disconnect their Google account at any time through the application settings. Upon disconnection, any locally stored authentication tokens are removed and access to the user's Google account is revoked.
Users may request deletion of their application-related data by contacting support at unmailapp@gmail.com . Upon request, any stored application data associated with the user will be
permanently deleted within a reasonable timeframe, subject to applicable legal obligations.
UnMail does not retain the contents of user emails after they are processed for the application's functionality.
Google User Data
UnMail's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google user data is only used to provide inbox cleanup, subscription identification, and unsubscribe assistance features requested by the user.
Your Choices
You may disconnect Gmail, clear cleanup history, or stop using UnMail at any time through the app settings.
